2:18. வஞ்சகமாய் நடக்கிறவர்களிடத்திலிருந்து அரிதாய்த் தப்பினவர்களிடத்தில் இவர்கள் அகந்தையான வீண்வார்த்தைகளைப் பேசி, மாம்ச இச்சைகளினாலும் காமவிகாரங்களினாலும் அவர்களைத் தந்திரமாய்ப் பிடிக்கிறார்கள்.

2:18. அவர்களின் பேச்சு கவர்ச்சிகரமாக இருக்கும். ஆனால் உண்மையில் அது தகுதியற்றது. அவர்கள் மக்களைப் பாவ வலைக்குள் செலுத்துகிறார்கள். பாவங்களின் செல்வாக்கில் இருந்து தப்பிக்க ஆரம்பித்திருக்கிறவர்களை அவர்கள் தவறான பாதையில் வழி நடத்துகிறார்கள். தங்கள் பாவ சரீரங்களில் மக்கள் செய்ய விரும்பும் பொல்லாப்புகளைப் பயன்படுத்தி அப்போலிப் போதகர்கள் இதனைச் செய்கிறார்கள்.

2:18. For by speaking high-sounding but empty words they are able to entice, with fleshly desires and with debauchery, people who have just escaped from those who reside in error.
